Who We Are
Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers, Inc. is a licensed non-profit community health center where quality patient care is our first priority. We provide convenient, affordable health care to residents, with a special emphasis on serving the uninsured and underinsured of the Santa Clarita Valley through the operation of three health centers. All services are available on a sliding fee schedule which keeps health care affordable for all; weekend and evening hours are provided; and our health care providers are all bi-lingual.

Our service philosophy is that of patient self-management in which the provider supports the patient in achieving his or her health care goals. We provide a comprehensive range of primary care services including: treatment of illness and injury, diabetes and other chronic care management, physical exams, family medicine, women’s health, prenatal and well baby care, immunizations, health education, referrals.

Carousel Ranch

Who We Are
Carousel Ranch is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing developmental therapeutic and recreational programs for disabled and disadvantaged children through horses. Established in July 1997, this exciting concept in equestrian therapy combines vaulting (gymnastics on a moving horse) and therapeutic riding (both English and Western) resulting in an exceptional goal oriented program for special needs children.  The goals and benefits are different for every child, depending on their individual needs. The movement of the horse causes an inherent response from the child, relaxing muscles that are tight, increasing tone in muscles that are weak, building balance, coordination and control, which in turn enables children to use their hands and arms, sit, stand and walk.

Challenged Riders-Changed Lives
To an individual with a disability, horseback riding takes them into a new, unexplored world, which provides a sense of independence and freedom that defies their disability.  Therapeutic riding challenges our riders in ways that they have seldom been challenged before. Almost every disabled person can benefit from therapeutic riding. We have seen major benefits to riders with all disabilities including cerebral palsy, mental retardation, autism, rare genetic disorders, brain injury, stroke, learning disabilities and emotional problems.

These might not be miracles, but day after day, Carousel Ranch changes people lives.

Who We Are

House of Your Choice is sponsored by the Santa Clarita Valley Rotary, Santa Clarita CA, a member of Rotary International. Santa Clarita Valley Rotary conducts various fundraising projects throughout the year to benefit local nonprofits. Funds raised by the SCV Rotary are held by The Newhall Rotary Community Foundation for distribtution to local benefiting charities. House of Your Choice national raffle is the SCV Rotary's major fundraising project.
